AlmostFinancial is a satirical stock analysis tool. We keep things simple — including our privacy practices.
This page explains what little data we collect and why.
📊 What we collect
When you use AlmostFinancial (web or mobile app), the following information may be processed:
Ticker symbols you enter — e.g. TSLA, RELIANCE. These are sent to our server to fetch analysis results. We do not store them permanently or link them to you.
Market selection — whether you chose US or Indian markets. Sent alongside the ticker, not stored.
IP address — used server-side for rate limiting only (max 10 requests/minute per IP). Not logged to any persistent store.
Push notification token (mobile app only) — if you grant notification permission, a device token is sent to our server. This token is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you. It is used only to send market updates.
We do not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, financial account details, or any personally identifying information. No account required.
🔒 How we use it
Ticker symbols and market selection are used solely to call third-party financial data APIs (Twelve Data, IndianAPI) on your behalf and return a result.
Push tokens are stored in memory and used only to send notifications you have opted into. They are not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Server logs (standard access logs) may contain IP addresses for operational purposes. Logs are rotated and not retained beyond 7 days.

The AlmostFinancial web app itself does not set cookies. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies when ads are displayed.
The mobile app does not use cookies.
👶 Children's privacy
AlmostFinancial is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If you believe a child has submitted information through our service, please contact us.
✏️ Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of AlmostFinancial after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
